Deaconess Vernell Crawley, age 90, was called to eternal rest, October 25, 2021, while residing at the Putnam Nursing Home in Holmes, NY. Vernell is at peace with God now and is now rejoicing in her heavenly home. We must not mourn as those without hope, for Vernell has gone to get the great reward promised to all who faithfully serve the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I had the pleasure of working with Vernell for a few years at General Sportswear as a young woman. I always looked up to her as she imparted her knowledge regarding materials and product development to me. . I didn't realize it then but I do know now the impact she, Mr. Crawley, and dear Michael "Box" had on my childhood in Ellenville in the Guardsmen. . I will always remember her little chuckle when I did something silly as she would redirect my effort or move on to another task. Rest easy Vernell, much love and appreciation to you always. ♥️
