Tootsie Finerow

Tootsie Finerow surrounded by loved ones passed away on April 11, 2022. Tootsie is survived by her children, grandchild, sister and nieces and nephews. A native of Scranton, PA and daughter to the late Leo and Anna Hynosky.

Tootsie found her way to Ellenville via Collins Ave. in Miami Beach. Working as a waitress in a coffee shop, she was a sight to be seen making such an impression that one of her customers invited her to visit his hotel in the Catskills over the summer. She showed up thinking she was coming for a visit and Dave Levinson put her right to work behind the front desk of the Tamarack Hotel. She fell in love with this little town and the rest is history.

Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 30^th at St. Mary and St. Andrew’s Church followed by a reception at the Paper Mill Restaurant.
