Sylvia P. Myers

Sylvia P. Myers of Matamoras, PA and formerly of Ellenville, NY, passed away July 15, 2018, she was 84 years old. Born in Ellenville on February 9, 1934, the daughter of Howard and Lillian (Lang) Potter. On February 22, 1952 she married James Myers; they were blessed with 5 children.

She loved to read. She loved her grandchildren dearly and often played games and puzzles with them. She liked to travel and go out for dinner and be with her family. She had the best listening ear a family could want. She had old pictures of her family in her night stand she would often enjoy looking at.

Sylvia is survived by her husband James; her children Thomas Myers, Nancy Avitable (Jimmy), Cindy Warner (David), Lori Myers, and Kathy Ashikari (Rich); her siblings Arlene Konig and Norman Potter; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers Howard and Harold “Sonny” Potter.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, July 21st at 12 Noon at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 North Main Street in Ellenville, NY. Interment of ashes will follow at Poplar Grove Cemetery in Phillipsport, NY.
