Stanley Countryman Jr.

Stanley Countryman Jr., fondly called “Jr” by family and friends, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 69 years old. Stanley was born on October 17, 1947 in Ellenville, NY; he was the son of the late Stanley and Vi Della (Huson) Countryman.
 
Stanley had worked as a sawyer, but most recently was a self employed handyman. Stanley was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
 
Stanley is survived by his sisters, Betty Minkler of Pennsylvania and Kathryn VanBuren and her husband Gary of Napanoch; his brothers, Ralph Countryman and his wife JoAnn, Floyd Countryman and his wife Sharon all of Napanoch and George Countryman and his wife Rachel of Claryville. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
 
In addition to his parents Stanley was predeceased by his brother-in-law Richard Minkler.
 
Visiting will be held on Friday, July 28th from 6-8 pm at Loucks Funeral Home: 79 N. Main St., Ellenville, NY. A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Bush Cemetery, Kerhonkson.
