Shirley Marie Miller

 Shirley Marie Miller of Napanoch, NY, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was 76 years old. Shirley was born on July 10, 1935 in Ellenville; she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Marie (Smith) Distel.

Shirley graduated from Ellenville High School and went to work at the Ellenville First National Bank. She later went on to work at Jamesway and eventually became the manager of Spencer Shoes in Napanoch.

On June 9, 1956 Shirley married George Miller at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellenville.

In addition to her husband George of Napanoch, Shirley is survived by their children Wayne Miller and his companion Betty and Glen Miller and his companion Tammy all of Accord, her brother Bernard Distel Jr. and his wife Betty of  Napanoch, brother-in-law Richard Flickman, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Shirley was predeceased by her only grandson Jason Michael Miller and her sister Beverly Flickman.

Visiting will be held on Tuesday, April 24th from 11am – 12pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville, NY. A graveside service will immediately follow at Fantinekill Cemetery.
