Sheldon Barry Weinberger

Sheldon Barry Weinberger of Napanoch passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Ellenville Regional Hospital. He was 68.

He was the son of the late Aaron and Ida Weinberger, born on May 17, 1947 in Queens, NY.

He enjoyed restoring cars, throughout the years he worked as a mechanic for several different places. He was an avid bowler and sports fan. A family statement reads "he was loved and will be deeply missed; he was taken from us to early but will be loved forever."

He is survived by his children: Alisa Maloy and her fiance, Salvatore Davi of Napanoch, Tara Damms and her husband, Kenneth of Napanoch, Ann Marie Weinberger of New Jersey; his sister, Amy Finkelstein and her husband, Dean of Staten Island; his brother, Mark Weinberger and his wife, Barbara of Connecticut; and his companion, Theresa Charkales of Connecticut; his grandson, Aaron Maloy; his nieces and nephews: Leah and Aaron Finkelstein and Justin Weinberger; and a host of friends.

Memorial visitation will be on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 North Main Street, Ellenville, NY 12428 from 2 to 4 p.m. The family is gathering at Dominick's Restaurant following the service.
