Rosemary Hertle

Rosemary (Broschart) Hertle, 97, of Napanoch NY passed away on March 10, 2013. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was an amazing, caring person who touched the hearts and lives of all that crossed her path.

Rosemary, known as Nan by many - loved her Yankees, the Racino, bingo and her bingo buddies. She enjoyed watching her birds, the flowers blooming and basking in the sun on her front porch.

Rosemary was born in Brooklyn NY on April 12, 1915 to the late Lawrence and Madeline Broschart. She worked for many years at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Jamaica NY as a medical secretary and was in charge of the
doctor's internship program. She and her deceased husband, Jack, were the proud owners of Jack's Service Station in Napanoch NY 'The Station' (as it was fondly called) was the meeting place for many!

Rosemary was predeceased by her beloved husband, John J. Hertle (Jack), her daughter-in-law Barbara Hertle, her brother Larry and sisters, Madeline and Frances.

Rosemary is survived by her loving sons; John J. (Jacky) Hertle, Lawrence W. (Larry) Hertle and his wife, Carol, and Robert J. (Bob) and wife, Melanie as well as her devoted, loving nephew Ronald Kurz. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, Annmarie, Rosemary, John, Laurie, Michele, Cathy, Michael, Christine and Sherry; 16 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, 4 sisters and many nieces and nephews.
 

A special thank you to the doctors, nurses, nurses aides and physical therapists at Ellenville Regional Hospital - the family is grateful for your loving care of our beloved mother and grandmother.
 

Visiting will be held on Wednesday, March 13^th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm  at Louck's Funeral Home 79 N. Main St., Ellenville. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 am at St. Mary and St. Andrew’s Church. Burial will follow at Furman Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Rosemary’s name to the Ellenville Regional Hospital.
