Rosemary (Link) Eikszta passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 5, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. “Rosie“ was born on April 25, 1942, in Shenandoah, PA. “Rosie” was a daughter to the late William and Helen Link. She was a secretary in charge of medical billing at the Ellenville Medical Center for over 40 years, retiring when the office closed.
“Rosie” was a lady of very strong faith and an active member of St. Mary’s and St. Andrew’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed many things, including traveling abroad, doing her Word Finds, Wordscapes and Puzzles and maintaining an immaculate home. She was very proud of the fact that she could still, at the age of 82, name all the Presidents and Vice Presidents, the States and Capitals, as well as the fact that she never smoked or drank her entire life.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Stanley Eikszta; her two brothers, William and Joseph Link and sister Jean Coyle.
“Rosie” is survived by her three children, Cheryl Munshower and her husband Keith, David Eikszta and his wife Holly, and Darlene Beykirch and her husband Karl; and three grandchildren Alexis, Alisea, and Austen; and her many nieces and nephews.
A visitation at Loucks Funeral Home will take place on Friday, October 11, from 4 to 7 PM. A private family mass will be held on Saturday, October 12, at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s and St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Ellenville, NY.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary’s and St. Andrew’s Church in Ellenville, NY or Ellenville Regional Hospital.
