Robert E. Curry Jr.

Robert E. Curry Jr. of Napanoch, NY passed away at Kingston City Hospital on Sunday, August 19, 2012. He was 63. He was the son of Robert E. Sr. and Beatrice Layton Curry, born on December 30, 1948 in Ellenville, NY.

Bob was the owner and operated Curry Excavating in Napanoch, NY. He later became a Correctional Officer for the Eastern Correctional Facility until he retired in 2004. Robert was an avid hunter and loved to take rides on his motorcycle, especially to Lake George for motorcycle week. He enjoyed colleting cars, and was a past member of the Napanoch Fire Department.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Patricia Nichols and her husband, Ned of Ellenville; his parents, Robert and Beatrice Curry of Napanoch; his sister, Donna and her husband, Terry Kortright of Napanoch; his niece, Lisa and her husband, KC Rappleyea of Maine; his great nephew, Dylon Rappleyea; nephew, Todd and Chris Kortright of Highland; great niece, Nicole Kortright; and aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Loucks funeral Home, 79 North Main Street, Ellenville, NY 12428 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service will be at the funeral home at 1 p.m. with Pastor Michael Sparrow officiating. Interment will follow at Furman Cemetery.
