Richard Milligan

Richard Milligan of Ellenville, NY passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, March 16, 2023 just 3 days shy of his 68^th birthday. Richard was born on March 19, 1954 in Suffern, NY; he was the son of the late Richard Dix Milligan and Eugenia Adele (Van Dunk) Milligan.

Richard had worked as a Maintenance Technician for the Ellenville Housing Authority. Prior to this he was a deliveryman for D & M Furniture. Richard was an avid sportsman. He was a life member of the Wawarsing Rod and Gun Club and a former member of the Ellenville First Aid Squad. Richard was well known around town. He had the biggest heart and could make you smile even on your worse day. Richard was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by the love of his life Frieda (Mann) Milligan, his sister, Paula Van Dunk and his nephew, Denmark Petersen.

Richard is survived by his brother, Martin Milligan and his life partner Dana Marie Anderson; his fur babies, Spanky and Sugar, his nieces and nephews, Kayla Van Dunk, Tinamarie Branbenburger, Autumnmist Milligan, Blue Petersen, Brett Milligan, Richard Milligan, Kileen Milligan, Brook Jazylo and Jenna Jazylo; great nieces, Nija and Anisa Christofora; dear friend Matthew Stickles as well many other great nieces, great nephews and friends.

Memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 6th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm with a celebration of his life beginning at 6:30pm.
