Richard C. Dickson

Richard C. Dickson (Rich), 74, resident of Ellenville, New York, passed away on March, 9, 2013 in Ocala, Florida.

He was born in Kingston, New York, February 17, 1939, the son of Richard C. and Marion Dickson.  Rich was married to Lynne H. Evans and celebrated their 51^st Anniversary in June.

Rich was a man of many talents and held managerial positions in the construction of commercial water treatment plants, flood control projects, and bridges. He spent many years building homes and later in life held a superintendent position overseeing the construction of high end homes in New Jersey. Rich loved the outdoors and enjoyed boating, fishing, golf (achieved a hole in one), and tennis.  He enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and was always there to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his wife Lynne, daughter Tammy Schultz husband Steve, Dandridge, TN; daughter Terri Bishop husband John, Milton, NY; son Richard C. Dickson, Jr. wife Carol, Knotts Island, NC; son Scott Dickson wife Bette, Bremerton, WA; grandchildren Kimberly, Douglas, Cortnie, Cody, Starleah, Brittany, Drew, Matthew, Tommy, Blake; brothers James Dickson, Ocala, FL; William Dickson, Catskill, NY; sisters Marion Lasher, Raleigh, NC; Virginia Salvador, Scottsdale, AZ; Elizabeth Daugherty, Haines City, FL; step father Phillip Reilly, DeBary, FL; many nieces and nephews.

Rich is preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Edith Desch and Joan Orr.

His family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 12:00 at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main Street, Ellenville, N.Y with a memorial service beginning at 1pm.
