Raymond George Smith

Raymond Smith of Cragsmoor, NY passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 at Westchester Medical Center. He was 79 years old.

Ray was born in Ellenville, NY on October 25, 1937. He was the son of Ivan Smith and Myrtie Smith Meier. 

Ray was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Joyce Bowler Smith, daughter Teresa Smith Ray and husband Robert, daughter Elizabeth Smith Milewski, granddaughter Heather Ray, grandsons Christopher Ray and wife Nicole, Travis Milewksi and fiancé, Brittany Knapp and Zachary Milewski, brother-in-law Bruce Bowler and wife Ann Bowler and nieces Erin Bowler and Michelle Bowler.

Ray was a motorcycle enthusiast of fifty years, most of which were riding with his buddy John Potts. He was a member of Cape Pond Inc. and on the Board of Directors for many years. He spent over thirty years among friends enjoying the lake and fishing with his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 2:00 to 5:00pm with a toast to a celebration of his life at 5:00pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 North Main Street, Ellenville, NY 12428. Burial of Raymond’s ashes will be held at Fantinekill Cemetery at a later date.
