Patricia Lee Budd

In loving memory of Patricia Lee (Krom) Budd, a cherished lifelong resident of Ellenville, NY, who peacefully passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family on Friday, February 16, 2024, at the age of 80. Patricia, born on July 28, 1943, in Ellenville, was the beloved daughter of the late Richard and Doris (Lewis) Krom.

After graduating from Ellenville High School, Patricia pursued her passion for healthcare, becoming a licensed X-ray Technician. She dedicated numerous years of service at the Veterans Hospital in Ellenville, forming enduring friendships with colleagues. Patricia concluded her fulfilling career at the Sullivan Internal Medical Group.

Throughout her life, Patricia held various professions, including employment at the Ulster/Sullivan Correctional Facility. She also generously shared her time and knowledge at the Ellenville Library.

On October 2, 1965, Patricia began a lifelong journey with her beloved Howard Budd when they united in marriage. Their bond was marked by immeasurable love and devotion.

Patricia's roles as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister brought immense joy to her life. She stood as the matriarch of the family, nurturing those she held dear. Patricia selflessly served as a Girl Scout leader and Den Mother for cub scouts during her children's formative years.

A woman of faith, Patricia was an active member of the Ulster Heights United Methodist Church. During her early years, she found solace and guidance within the embrace of the Ellenville Reformed Church.

In her leisure time, Patricia found delight in exploring new destinations through travel, indulging in the pleasures of shopping, and engrossing herself in the pages of books. She had a passion for collecting Irish sweaters, each one holding a story and a memory dear to her heart.

Patricia is survived by her devoted husband Howard, her loving son Howard Budd Jr. and his wife Vanessa, her loving daughter Pamela Budd-Frost and her husband Charles Jr., as well as her cherished grandchildren: Addie Allen (Marcus), Stephanie Mossey (Andy), Katrina Wachter (Johnny), Shannon Whatton (Andrew), Howie Budd III, Brandi Budd (Robert), Sabrina Sheridan, Collin Frost (Destiny), Remington Budd (Haley).

She adored her great-grandchildren Harper Wachter, Aurora Wachter, Juliette Wachter, Emory Allen, and Eleanna Allen.

Patricia is also survived by her caring brothers Richard Krom (Nancy), Ronald Krom (Lynn), and Robert Krom (Susan). Her in-laws Harry Budd (Coral) and Joyce Haener (Al). 

In accordance with Patricia's wishes, no services will be held at this time.
