Michael B. Youmans

Michael B. Youmans of Kerhonkson, NY passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at his home. He was 22 years old. Michael was born on February 6, 1992 in Harris, NY; he was the son of Michel Youmans and the late Tina M. (Unterburger) Youmans.

Michael had attended Ellenville Central Schools growing up. He was currently employed by Pro Build Building Supply in Liberty, NY. Michael was an easy going, sociable kind of guy. He enjoyed spending time at home with his family and playing video games with his buddies who fondly referred to him as “Snore Lax”. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and also enjoyed trucks.

Michael is survived by his father, Michel Youmans and his fiancé Barbara Rose of Kerhonkson; his brother, William R. Maerling; his step-brother, Dakota Rose; his paternal grandmother, Sally Youmans; his maternal grandfather, Edward R. Crain; his niece, Makayla Maerling, his uncle Bob Youmans and his wife Wendy, uncle Fred Youmans, uncle Doug Youmans and his aunt Kim Johnson. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In addition to his mother, Tina, Michael was predeceased by his grandmother, Nancy Crain and his uncle, Everett Youmans.

Visiting will be held on Friday, March 14th form 2-4 and 7-9 pm with a celebration of his life beginning at 8pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville, NY. Cremation will be private.
