Mary L. Curry

Mary L. Curry, of Napanoch, NY passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019 in Orange City, FL surrounded by family and close friends. She was 70 years old. Mary was born on December 25, 1948 in the Veterans Memorial Hospital in Ellenville. She was the daughter of Chester R. and Helen Elizabeth (Lynch) Fitzgerald.

Mary had retired from Imperial Schrade after 36 years where she worked as an Incoming Material Inspector. She married Sherman “Bob” Curry on January 4, 1975. Bob sadly passed away in 2016. Mary was a member of the ladies auxiliary before becoming one of the first females to join the ranks of the Ellenville Fire District. She held the office of Lieutenant and was a Past President of Pioneer Engine Co. #1. Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband, Mary is predeceased by her brother Leroy Quick.

Mary is survived by her children, Helen Curry (Teddy Avery) of Debary, FL and David Curry (Sarah Havrish-Curry) of Clifton Park, NY; grandchildren, Christian Curry, Davie Curry, Benjamin Curry, Jackson Curry and Nickolas Avery; siblings, John Fitzgerald of Sanford, FL; nephews, Robert and Jason Fitzgerald and niece Debbie Silon.

Memorial Visitation will be held at Loucks Funeral Home on Sunday, January 13th from 6-9 pm. A Firematic Service will be held at 7pm that evening. A celebration of her life is scheduled for Monday, January 14th at1pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery.
