Marjorie A. Green of Ellenville passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Ellenville Regional Hospital. She was 92.
She was the daughter of the late Richard and Margaret Black Scraggs, born on February 16, 1921 in Youngsville, Ohio.
She proudly served our country in the United States Navy during WWII as a Storekeeper Third Class and was honorably discharged in 1946. She later worked for the Board of Water Supply during the tunnel building. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all that knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughters Margaret “Peg” Becker and her husband Richard and Karen Rosselli and her husband Michael, two grandchildren Jennifer Pallante and her husband Joe and David Rosselli and his companion Bailey Renstorm; her siblings Paul Scraggs, Alice Avard and Barbara Washburn, and sister-in-law Agnes Scraggs.
She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 65 years Floyd “Bill” Green and her siblings Robert, Jim and Phillip Scraggs and Lois Berchtold.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville, NY from 3-6:00pm. A funeral service will be on Monday, September 23, 2013 at the Ellenville United Methodist Church, 83 Canal Street, Ellenville NY 12428 at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Marjorie’s name to the Ellenville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 591, Ellenville, NY 12428.
