Margaret Ida Hoar Sheley Cherry, passed away on the evening of September 8, 2016 at Kindred Hospital North in Green Cove Springs Florida from a short illness. She was 76 years old. Margaret was born on November 4, 1939 at the Old Ellenville Hospital; she was the daughter of was Royal Hoar and Margaret Mae McEntee Hoar

Just before she retired she worked at the Ellenville Hospital. A little while as a nurses aid, but mainly worked in housekeeping, cleaning the OR rooms. Margaret was an avid reader. She would go to the library and take out 5 books a week. She would read those 5 and return them and get out another 5. Margaret moved to Palm Coast Florida in June of 2016. She loved to talk on the phone and would frequently call her cousin Linda Stedner.

Margaret is survived by her husband Robert Cherry; daughter, Tina Procaccini; 3 sons Douglas Sheley, Royal Sheley and Paul Sheley; sister Ruthann McDole and two brothers Carl Hoar and Todd Hoar. Also surviving are
12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.She will be loved and missed by all.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents, her daughter Colleen Sheley, her granddaughter Jessica Sheley and her sister Iris Slater.

A graveside service and ashes burial will be held on Saturday, October 8th at 11 am at Fantinekill Cemetery.
There will be a get together after the service at ll Paradiso at 110 Shop Rite Blvd in Ellenville, NY
