Lydia Berrios

Lydia Berrios of Main St., Napanoch, NY, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023. She was 83 years old. Lydia was born on June 18, 1939 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She was one of six children.

Lydia was a hard worker her entire life. Not only did she raise her three children while holding a job at Channel Master, but with sheer determination she earned an Associate’s Degree from Ulster Community College securing a career as a Secretary at Eastern Correction Facility until her retirement. Following retirement Lydia moved to Florida with her husband Pete. Pete has since predeceased her. Family to Lydia was everything. She loved the gatherings, surrounded by food and music. She also enjoyed playing BINGO.

In addition to her husband Pete, Lydia was predeceased by her son, Leon Julian and her two sisters and two brothers.

Surviving are her son Albert Julian and his wife Deborah; her daughter Lori; her sister, Daisy Jakel; her grandchildren, Deborah Rae Julian, Ericka Julian, Alisha Julian, Seth Benkaddor, Brandon Silva and Anthony Julian as well as seven great grandchildren.

 A Celebration of Lydia’s life will be held at a later date.
