Lisa VanOrden

 Lisa VanOrden (nee Vaughan) of Kerhonkson, NY, passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2012. She was 49 years old. Lisa was born on December 26, 1962 in Middletown, NY, she was the daughter of Myrna (Straub) Vaughan and the late James Vaughan.

Lisa was a dedicated Teacher’s Assistant at the Kerhonkson Elementary School for over 14 years. She enjoyed going to the gym, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Lisa left a lasting impression not only on the children she watched over on a daily basis, but on the entire community. She will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her mother Myrna of Kerhonkson, Lisa is survived by her loving husband David whom she married on July 13, 1985, their children David VanOrden, Jr. and Devon VanOrden, all of Kerhonkson, her sister Maureen Fortin (Vaughan) and her husband Dave of Suffield, CT and her brother James Vaughan and his wife Deanna of Kerhonkson. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Memorial visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 5^th from 12 – 3pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St. Ellenville.
