Lawrence David Fine

Lawrence David Fine, 83, of Ellenville, NY, died Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Lawrence was born June 1, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Irving and Sylvia (Schlesinger) Fine.

Lawrence served his country honorably in the United Sates Army from 1959-1961. He is survived by his sister, Arlene Orlinick of New Jersey and a niece Debra Blatt and nephew Steven Orlinick; he also is a great uncle to Sarah Blatt.

Lawrence had a very big heart and would donate to various charities. His mother always told stories of him bringing stray animals like cats and dogs home and he would want to keep them. Larry once brought home a turtle that sent his terrified sister running into her bedroom.

Lawrence took a very big interest in learning new things. He would go to the library and spend numerous hours there and reading things he enjoyed. On television he took an big interest in watching shows that pertained to the stock market and he also loved watching church programs. When he had the opportunity to go, he would see shows that played in the Shadowland Theater in Ellenville. And his family was so important him, he will be missed.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, June 2^nd at 2PM at the New Paltz Rural Cemetery.
