Kerry Avery

Kerry P. Avery of Napanoch, NY, passed away at home on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was 65 years old. Kerry was born on March 17, 1956 at the Veterans Memorial Hospital in Ellenville, NY. He was the son of the late Cecil and Helen (Bennett) Avery.

Kerry retired from the Ellenville Central School District after 30 years as a groundsman. His hobbies were hunting, fishing and gardening, but his greatest pleasure was spending time with his grandchildren.

Kerry is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Teena Avery; son, Todd C. Avery and his wife Heather; grandchildren, Savannah Avery, Christina Avery and Todd Reese Avery; great granddaughter, Huntress Beau Exner; brothers, John Avery, Sr. of Ellenville, Robert Avery of Mt. Dora, FL, Edward Avery of Woodridge, NY, James Avery (Joan) of Campton, KY, Bruce Avery (Anne) of Napanoch, NY; sister, Cecile Pigman (Curtis) of Campton, KY; half-sister, Mary O’Dell (Ed) of Ellenville, NY as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Kerry was predeceased by his half-brother, Theron “Sonny” Avery

Visiting will be held on Monday, June, 21st from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm with a celebration of his life immediately following at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville. Burial will follow at Pine Bush Cemetery, Kerhonkson.
