Juan Irizarry, 46 a longtime area resident of Kingston, NY entered into rest on January 20, 2016.
He was the son of Juan R. Irizarry Sr. of Middletown and Rosa Santisteban of Ellenville.
He is predeceased by his sister, Awilda E. Irizarry and his step-father, Alfred J. Santisteban.
Juanito is survived by his sisters: Maritza Lockett and her husband, William A. Smith of Middletown, Maribel Lee and her husband, Regenal of Newport News, VA, Rosanna and Michael Gordon of Ellenville, Nilsa and Enrique Velez of South Fallsburg; his brothers, Felix Irizarry of Puerto Rico, Benjamin Irizarry and his wife, Yvette of Middletown; several nieces and nephews, whom he loved spending time with.
Juanito was family oriented and spent most of his time in Ellenville, where most of his family and friends were located. He was the life of the party, loved music and dancing salsa and merengue. He enjoyed walks, fishing, camping and family barbecue gatherings. He was true to his friends especially his loyal childhood friend, Freddie Bonilla whom he considered his "brother".
The family would like to acknowledge agency’s in Kingston for their kindness and compassionate care for Juanito.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9th at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 North Main St., Ellenville, NY 12428. A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fanitinekill Cemetery.
