Joshua M. Chaney

It is with great sadness that the family and friends of Joshua Michael Chaney announce his passing after a sudden death on Tuesday, February 6, 2018. He was 33 years old; born on September 21, 1984 in Valhalla to the late Kim Chaney.

Josh had worked for I.B.E.W Local 1249 and more recently was employed by J&M Renovations.  He enjoyed working on cars and four wheeling and drinking beers, playing video games and camping with his son. He was a beloved father, amazing brother and uncle and best friend to many. Josh will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Josh is survived by his loving son, Joshua Michael Chaney Jr.; his lifelong companion and mother of his child Sherry Fuller; his sister, Nicole Chaney, her companion Cornelius Cromer and their two children, Treasure and Cordai Cromer; his brothers-in-law, Donald Mitchell, his wife Fiona and their children, Cheyenne, Savannah Mitchell, Hunter, Robert James. His other brother-in-law, Jay Mitchell and his wife Annie and their children, Connor and Tyler Mitchell; Sharon and Don Fuller who were not only his mother and father-in-law, but who he considered his second parents; his cousin, Christy Giovi; his aunt, Lisa Davenport; his brothers from anotha mother, Rob, Zimm, Ha, Chris, Steve, Jairo, Kristian and Phats as well as his beloved pitbulls; Nylah and Lia and many of his dear friends. 
 

In addition to his mother, Joshua is predeceased by his grandparents who raised him, Carol Murgolo and Donald Mesceda.

Visiting will be held on Saturday, February 10th from 1 - 3 pm with a with a celebration of his life beginning at 3 pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville. Cremation will be private. The family will be holding a memorial service at a later date.
