John “Jack” Navitsky
August 8, 1936 – November 9, 2015
John “Jack” Navitsky, of Ellenville, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015 in Ellenville, NY. He was 79.
He was the son of the late John and Mary Navitsky, born on August 8, 1936 in Shenandoah, PA.
He worked as a crane operator at VAW of America and Hydro Aluminum in Ellenville, NY. He also proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. He was a sports fanatic who always rooted for the Mets and Giants on TV, and enjoyed old movies. In his free time, he delighted in growing tomatoes in his garden, despite not always having a successful outcome. He was a loving father, grand-father, brother and friend to all that new him, he will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his children: Allen of Ellenville, Wayne and his wife Shannon of Florida, Larry of Ellenville and Scott of Napanoch; his grandchildren: Brandon, Mark, Ashley and Allen Jr; his brother Bernie Navitsky of Matamoras, PA; and a host of friends. He is predeceased by his loving wife Thelma and a baby daughter AnnaMarie.
Visitation will be held from 7-9pm on Friday, November 13, 2015 at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St, Ellenville, NY 12428. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery with full military honors.
