John Labelle

John Labelle, age 71, of Schenectady and more recently Lake Katrine died Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Health Alliance Hospital, Broadway Campus of Kingston, NY.  Mr. Labelle was born June 25, 1948; he was the son of the late Frank and the late Helen (Palmer) Labelle. 

Mr. Labelle had worked at RPI Dining Services and Valentines Couriers in Schenectady. John was a kind, gentle soul who was loved by everyone he came in contact with. His greatest joys in life were his kitty cats and being able to spend time with his granddaughters. 

He was a loving Poppy to his granddaughters, Kirissa Durant of Ellenville, NY; granddaughter, Nikki Durant of Middletown, NY; brother to Lillian Burr; great-grandfather to Parker, Brayden and Kaylie and uncle to Beverly Bailey.

John was recently predeceased by his daughter, Elizabeth Grace Labelle on October 19, 2019 and was also preceded in death by life partner, Robert Sissim and his nephew Willard Bailey.

A memorial service will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 7 at the Salvation Army Chapel, 222 Lafayette St., Schenectady, NY.
