John P. Knight

John Palmer Knight, III of Napanoch NY, formerly of Stony Point, NY passed away unexpectedly as a result of a heart attack on Friday, November 18, 2022. He was 58 years old. John was born on May 8, 1964 in Stony Point; he was the son of Christina (Franck) Fiore and the late John P. Knight.

John began his career working as an Apprentice for Otis Elevator in the state of Florida. He moved back to NY after a short 7 year stay and continued to work his way up the ladder to Elevator Mechanic. John was a member of the International Union of Elevator Constructor Local 138. He loved his job and the people he worked with.

In his downtime John enjoyed traveling around the country in his motor home. He was an avid outdoorsman, fishing and hunting were his passions in life.

John was a productive and purposeful person. He was kind-hearted and a friend to many.

In addition to his mom, John is survived by his longtime companion, Kelly Hughes; his brother, Eric Knight; daughter Christina Knight and her children, Jackson and Evan; his stepbrothers, Anthony and Joseph Fiore.

John was predeceased by his step father, Anthony Fiore.

Visiting will be held on Tuesday, November 29^th from 12:00 – 2:00 pm and 5:00 – 9:00 pm with a celebration of his life beginning at 6:30 that evening.
