John F. Hasbrouck, Sr.

John F. Hasbrouck, Sr., a life long resident of Accord, NY, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012. He was 85 years old. Mr. Hasbrouck was born on March 7, 1927 at the family home in Accord; he was the son of the late Francis Benjamin and Inez (Schoonmaker) Hasbrouck.

John had married Barbara Perrault and they were married for over 50 years before Barbara passed away in February 1999.

John had served his country in the Unites States Army during WWII. He was a machinist and tool and die maker for 50 years and had worked for Accord Machine and Tool and Schrade Cutlery. John was also a life long member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Kingston.

Mr. Hasbrouck is survived by his children, Donald Hasbrouck of Grahamsville, Shirley Simpson of Kerhonkson, Paul Hasbrouck of Athens, Ruth Chapman of Ithaca, and John Hasbrouck, Jr. and his wife Deborah of South Fallsburg. His brothers, Richard Hasbrouck and his wife Rosemary and Donald Hasbrouck and his wife Rosemarie all of Accord. John has 5 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visiting will be held on Friday, October 12^th from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville, NY. The funeral service will be on Saturday, October 13^th at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Accord Rural Cemetery.
