John E. Constable

John Edward Constable, age 70, passed away January 26, 2022. He was the loving husband of Qingmei Luo Constable.

Born April 11, 1951, he was the son of Violet and Jesse Doyle Constable of Deposit, NY.  He later moved to Liberty and then Ellenville with his family. Owner of local business, Constable Custodial Services, John was passionate about his work. His expertise and devotion to helping others led to many contributions and lasting friendships throughout the Tri-State area and even as far as China.

Always active in and devoted to his local community, there was little in which John did not have a hand. He was active in multiple county commerce committees throughout Sullivan, Ulster, and Orange counties. He was also a celebrated member and past master of the Masons Wawarsing Lodge 582, as well as a member of the Shriners, Scottish Rite, Knights Templar, Royal Arch, Elks and many more organizations. 

When he wasn’t working, John enjoyed traveling, fishing, hiking, and being surrounded by loved ones. Whatever adventure he was on, he always valued including his family and friends in these experiences, hoping to share his knowledge and perspective with others.

Above all, John will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, son, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Qingmei Luo; his ex-wives Justina and Clara; his sons Shane, Jason, Ian, and Sebastian; his daughters-in-law Melissa, Annie, and Alicia; his step-son JiaFu; his brother David (and wife Sylvia) and sister Maria (and husband Dick); and his nine grandchildren Aiden, Tristan, Issac, Alyssa, Dominic, Lily, Sophia, Aria, and Hendrix John due in March.

John was predeceased by his ex-wife Lynda and his daughter Jessica Constable.

A viewing will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Loucks Funeral Home in Ellenville, NY. The funeral will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 beginning at 11am. A procession from Loucks Funeral Home to the Wawarsing Masonic Lodge and a reception will follow.
