James H. Myers

James Howard Myers of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at Vassar Brothers Hospital. He was 90 years old. James was born August 23,1930 in Cape Cod, Massachusetts; he was the son of the late Howard and Regina (Paff) Myers. 

James had served his country in the United States Army. He married Sylvia Pearl Potter on February 22, 1952, in Springfield Gardens, NY. They resided in Smithtown, Long Island where they raised their 5 children and retired to Fawn Lake, PA for many years. James was a Customhouse broker and was a partner at Elco Airfreight where he handled import and export clearances. He retired in 1988. 

James was predeceased by his wife Sylvia in July 2018. He is also predeceased by his sister Jean Myers. 

Surviving are his children, Thomas Myers, Nancy Avitable (Jimmy), Cindy Warner (David), Lori Myers (Ed) and Kathy Ashikari (Rich); 10 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.    

A Memorial service will be held at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St. Ellenville, NY on Saturday June 19th, at 1:00 pm. Inurnment will follow at Poplar Grove Cemetery, 180 Phillipsport Road, Phillipsport, NY.
