James “Jimmy” Maloney, of Neversink, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016. He was 55.
He was the son of the late Joseph and Pauline Kennedy Maloney, born on March 28, 1960 in Ellenville, NY.
Jimmy worked as a correctional officer for Eastern Correctional Facility before retiring after 25 years of service. He was a proud graduate of Ellenville High School and lived most of his life in the Ellenville area. In his free time he was an avid hunter and fisherman and he was a member of the Ulster Heights Rod & Gun Club. He was a loving fiancé, brother, uncle and friend to all that knew him, he will be deeply missed.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his fiancé Erin Marie Dunning at home; sisters Geraldine O’Shaunessy and her husband Tom of Ohio and Joann Erhardt of Georgia; his nephews Christopher O’Shaunessy and his wife Renee, and Michael O’Shaunessy and his wife Kelli; his niece Stephanie Wise and her husband Mike; several great nieces and nephews; and a very close and tight group of special friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St. Ellenville, NY 12428. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 10am at St. Mary’s & St. Andrew’s Church, 137 S. Main St. Ellenville, NY.
