James R. Brown

James R. Brown, of Napanoch, NY passed away in the comfort of his home on Friday, December 24, 2021. He was 77 years old. James was born on October 27, 1944 in Utica, NY; he was the son of the late William and Helen (Ritzel) Brown.

James served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He was honorably discharged in 1970 and enlisted with the National Guard where he remained active for 21 years. James was a Certified Public Accountant owning Browns Accounting Firm in Napanoch for many years.

He is survived by his loving wife Diane Brown; his five children as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visiting will be held on Thursday, December 30th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Loucks Funeral Home, Ellenville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, December 31st at the Church of St. Mary and St. Andrew. Burial will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
