Gordon Travis, Sr.

Gordon Travis Sr. of Liberty, NY passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 25, 2016 at Mt. Sinai Hospital. He was 75 years old. Gordon was born on September 3, 1940 in Summitville, NY; the son of the late Roswell Alfred and Estella (Lybolt) Travis.

Gordon was a former member of Kimble Hose and a former member and trustee of the Summitville Fire Dept.  He had worked at Tannenbaum Gas as a driver and most recently worked in the maintenance dept. at the Nevele. Gordon also enjoyed working on his pickup truck.

Gordon is survived by his wife, Linda Cooper Travis; their children, Gordon Travis Jr., Brian Keith Travis Sr., Roswell, Timothy and Rebecca Travis; his sister, Marie Tremblay; sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Gordon was predeceased by his sister Iris Denato.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 29th from 10am to 12pm. A celebration of his life will immediately follow at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Loucks Funeral Home, P.O. Box 107, Ellenville, NY 12428 to help defray the funeral expenses, would be appreciated by the family.
