George M. Sojka Sr.

George M. Sojka Sr. of Ellenville, NY passed away unexpectedly in his home on Monday, December 20, 2021. He was 67 years old. George was born on November 21, 1954 in Paterson, NJ; he was the son of the late Arthur and Margaret (Reese) Sojka.

George had worked as a truckdriver for most of his life, most recently he drove for First Fleet in Middletown, NY. George also was a union carpenter. He worked on many of the buildings in Ellenville. In his free time, he enjoyed tinkering, mainly working on cars. His pride and joy was his only grandson, Elijah. George was always there to make you laugh when you were feeling down. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

George is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Laura Sojka; his children, Nicole Martinez and her husband Jesus, George M. Sojka Jr. and Heather M. Sojka and his grandson, Elijah.

As per George’s wishes there will be no services.
