George J. Simpson

George J. Simpson “windowwasher”, 77 of Kerhonkson, NY, passed away Friday evening, Apr. 26, 2013 surrounded by members of his loving family at Kingston Hospital.

George was born in Ellenville, NY on Nov. 20, 1935. He was the son of George E. Simpson and Mary Caruso Simpson.

Mr. Simpson was predeceased by his brother Sam and his sister Nancy Crain.

He is survived by his brother Joe, his sisters Hazel Mobley of Napanoch and Violet Friend of TN. Also surviving is his loving wife of 46 years, Sandy Simpson, 2 sons George J. Simpson and his wife Michelle and Eric Simpson and his partner Kathy Kelly, 3 daughters, Lisa Malloy and her partner Steve Bush, KerryAnn Simpson and Kristie Cutler and her partner Kenny Irwin; 10 grandchildren: Georgie, Tony, Danielle, Amber, Gregory, Megan, Gabrielle, Heidi, Justis and Zachary; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

George enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, bird watching and watching stock car races. He was a former volunteer fireman for Accord Fire Co. 1 and a present member of the Napanoch Fire Department where he served as fire police.

Friends and relatives may call Loucks Funeral Home, 79 North Main Street, Ellenville, NY on Tues. April 30th from 7-9pm and Wed. May 1^st from 10-12. A celebration of his life will begin at 12 on Wed. Pastor Vernon Jordan of the 7^th Day Adventist Church on Clinton Ave. in Ellenville will be officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Napanoch Fire House immediately following.
