Georganna "Red" Roudis

Georganna “Red” Roudis, dedicated Aunt and friend of many, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home in Ellenville, NY on January 6, 2023 at the age of 80.

Red was born on November 24, 1942 in Ellenville, NY to the late Jean Austin. She was the oldest of four children; predeceased by George Rose, Colleen Davis and Lance Rose Sr. Red was also predeceased by her ex-husband Frank Roudis and her fond canine companions Harley, Piddles and Puddles. 

After retiring from James’ General Store and 209 Sand and Gravel in Ellenville, NY, Red enjoyed spending time with her loved ones every second that she could. Red really enjoyed being at home with her dog Shorty and her birds Cloud and Zucchini. Red was the consummate Auntie to generations of nieces and nephews, always sharing in life’s successes and joys. Throughout the years she enjoyed volunteering with the Blueberry Festival, supporting the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce and playing Scrabble. 

Red leaves to cherish her loving memory, her nieces, Michelle Rose-Levine, Barbara Rose-Youmans, Kelly Rose, Meredith Rose-Gavars, Kaitlyn Rose, Nicole Rose-Awe and her nephews, Lance Rose Jr, Michael Contestato, Shaun Rose, Travis Rose Sr, ten great nieces and nephews, 12 stepbrothers and stepsisters, many cousins, and many friends. 

As per Red’s wishes there will be no services.
