Floyd E. Elston, Sr.

March 10, 1943 — November 20, 2015

Floyd Edward Elston Sr. of Highland, NY, passed away in the comfort of his home on Friday, November 20, 2015. He was 72 years old. Floyd was born on March 10, 1943 in Middletown, NY; he was the son of the late Charles and Adral (Weaver) Elston.

 

Mr. Elston began working at a young age and maintained a strong work ethic throughout his life. He owned Tru-Cut Logging and provided firewood to many residents within Ulster and Sullivan Counties. Floyd was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

Floyd is survived by his children, Michael Elston and his wife Christine, Tina Elston and her companion Norman, Roseann Mason, Robert Elston and his companion Lisa, David Elston and his fiancé Mark and Lori-Lynn Elston and her companion Charles. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

 

Floyd was predeceased by his son Floyd Edward Elston Jr. and his brother Franklin Elston.

 

The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday November 24th from 12-2 at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville, NY. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 with burial immediately following at Fantinekill Cemetery
