Florencia Aviles

Florencia Aviles of Highland, NY, passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. She was 82 years old. Florencia was born on April 29, 1939 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico; she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Anna Maria (Cupeles) Torres

Florencia had worked at Imperial Schrade and Channel Master up until their closing. She was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Florencia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed and forever loved.

In addition to her parents, Florencia was predeceased by her siblings, Bonifacio Torres, Carlos Torres, Victor Torres, Alfredo Torres, Fernando Torres and Leida Pagan.

Surviving is her husband, Ramon Aviles; her children, Maritza Lewis and her husband Gary and Ramon Aviles Jr. and his wife Consuelo; siblings, Americo Torres, Javier Torres, Iris Martell, Aurora Velez and Lydia Rivera; grandchildren, Michael Vincent Heaney and his wife Jennifer, Shana Stephanie Soares and her husband Eric and Ramon Aviles III and his wife Marcella and Alexandra Aviles; great grandchildren, Angelina Soares and Eric Soares Jr..

Visiting at Loucks Funeral home will be held on Saturday, August 7th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm with a memorial service beginning at 7:30 pm and Sunday, August 8th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am followed by burial at Fantinekill Cemetery.
