Ernest H. Price, Sr.

Ernest Henry Price, Sr., of Napanoch, NY, passed away in the comfort of his home on Wednesday, May 18, 2016. He was 76 years old. Ernest was born on May 24, 1939 in Orange, New Jersey; the son of Walter and Eleanor (Shann) Price.

Mr. Price proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Independence. He was honorably discharged in 1964. In his younger years Ernest enjoyed racing horses. He retired from the New Jersey Department of Transportation where he was a supervisor. Ernest was a member of the Elks Lodge #1971, American Legion Post # 111 and the VFW Post 1455.

He leaves behind his loving wife Naomi Price; his children, Edward Price, Denise Monahan, Sean and Megan Dennis and Will Pendergast; his grandchildren Shawn, Sarah and Emily Price, Danielle and Brianne Monahan; great grandsons, Connor Murphy and Liam Price.

Ernest was predeceased by his son Ernest Price Jr.; his sister, Diane Battel; his brother Walter Price and his grandson Steven Price.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 25th from 2- 4 pm and 7- 9 pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville. A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at Furman Cemetery.
