Dorothy Stickles

Dorothy Stickles of Ellenville, NY passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, October 16, 2021. She was born in the Bronx, NY and raised by her mother Katherine Schoeppler.

Dorothy was a beloved mother and grandmother whose family meant the world to her. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren. She worked at ARC and in the Health Care field for most of her life. Many years ago, she had her own private nursing facility in her home.



Dorothy will be deeply missed by her children, Stephen Stickles and his wife Ginger, Christine VanLeuven and her husband Thomas, Josephine Alequin and her husband Alberto, Bernard Stickles and Judith Stickles; her grandchildren, Nicole, Sarina, Alayna and Stephen. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.



Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Bernard Stickles who died in 1976; her youngest daughter, Lori Stickles who died in 2018; her brothers, sisters and most of her friends



A memorial mass will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 22nd at St. Mary and St. Andrew's Church, 137 S. Main St., Ellenville,



The family would like to thank all of her caregiver and Home Health of Kingston for their dedication and compassionate care provide to their mother.



In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Dorothy's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
