Dorothy F. Chase

Dorothy F. Chase “Dot” of Napanoch, NY, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. She was 96 years old. Dot was born on October 16, 1921 in Napanoch; she was the daughter of John and Flora (Geiselhart) Irwin.

Dot had worked as the Wawarsing Deputy Town Clerk and as the receptionist at WELV Radio. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school. Dot also enjoyed crocheting and singing.

Dot is survived by her daughter, Nancy Chase of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Scott (Terri) Chase, Aimee (Jim) Parham, Richard (Bobbi) Chase, Betsi (Matthew) Keltz, Daniel Chase, Mary Chase, Glory (Benjamin) Allen and Deborah (Robert) Smith; nineteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Dot was predeceased by her husband Richard, her son-in-law Donald and her four brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be on held on Friday, January 26th from 5 to 7 pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 North Main St., Ellenville NY. A celebration of her life is scheduled for Saturday, January 27th at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery.
