Age 100, of Napanoch, NY, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019

Dorothy was born on December 29, 1918 in Punxsutawney, PA., the daughter of the late Frank DeLappa and Ella Marvin DeLappa.

She was predeceased by her husband of 75 years Thomas Burkhouse, her mother, two sisters and

one brother.

She is survived by her children Rayna Burkhouse of Ellenville, NY, Linda Pittelli of Mesquite, NV and Thomas Burkhouse Jr. of Ballston Spa, NY; six grandchildren, and many great and great-great grand children as well as many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy, along with her husband, was a charter member of the Ellenville First Aid & Rescue Squad. She also worked for the telephone company prior to dial phones after which she started a

career in banking working her way to head teller thru Ellenville Savings Bank and M&T Bank from which she retired in 1985. 

Dorothy along with her husband owned Burkhouse's store in Napanoch, NY.  After retirement

in 1985 she spent summers at Seneca lake.

A graveside service will be held at Fantinekill Cemetery on Saturday, April 27th at 11am.
