Diana J. Depuy

Diana Jennie Depuy, of Wawarsing NY, passed away at the Kaplan House on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. She was 75 years old. Diana was born on February 21, 1947 at the Veteran’s Memorial Hospital in Ellenville, NY; she was the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Trowbridge) Irwin.

Diana was a lifelong resident of the area having graduated from Ellenville High School “Class of 1964”. In addition to being a mother, Diana was the primary caregiver to her parents. When not caring for her family, she worked as a Store Clerk for Jamesway and then Woolsworth until their closing. In her younger years she enjoyed going for long car rides on Sunday and she was an avid reader.

Diana is survived by her children, Doreen Thorpe and her husband Rich, Joseph Depuy Sr. and his wife Rose and Mona Rood and her husband John; her brother, James Wynkoop and his wife Barbara; her sister-in-law, Elaine Irwin; five grandchildren, Samantha (José), Matthew, Ronnie (Nicole), Joseph Jr. (Dakotah) and John (Raina); five great-grandchildren with one on the way; her nieces, Faith, Hope and Charity; her nephew, Kirk along with their families; her aunt, Elma Smith; cousins, William and Steven Smith as well as several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Diana was predeceased by her brother, Henry P. Irwin.

Visiting will be held at Loucks Funeral Home, Ellenville on Saturday, April 30^th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm with a Celebration of her life immediately following. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Diana’s name to the Ellenville Rescue Squad or American Diabetes Association.
