Cynthia Ann Towne

Cynthia Ann Towne of Ellenville, NY passed away suddenly on September 1, 2020 at Catskill Regional Hospital. She was 62 years old. Cynthia was born in Ellenville, NY on February 7, 1958; she was the daughter of the late Albert and Priscilla (Haines) Rode.

Cynthia was a graduate of Ellenville High School and grew up in Cragsmoor, NY, this is where her love for old stone buildings began. She married Wilfred “Billy” Towne on August 9, 1981 in the Cragsmoor Stone Church. Cynthia was a homemaker and helped raise their five children. Her greatest lifelong achievements were her marriage and her family. Cynthia enjoyed taking pictures and was a member of the Ellenville Assembly of God Church. Cynthia was a volunteer for Family of Ellenville and worked for Family of Woodstock. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband Billy of Napanoch, Cynthia is survived by her children, Rebecca Rode, Daniel Towne, Krista Sales, Luke Towne and Laura Towne; her step mother, Judith Rode; her sister, Dianna Rode; her brother, Glen Rode; 20 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
