Cynthia E. Diaco of Monticello, NY formerly of Ellenville passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at her home. She was 66 years old. Cynthia was born on December 22, 1947 in Ellenville; she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Anapel) Wood.

 

Mrs. Diaco had worked as a switchboard operator for the Ellenville Central Schools, the Ellenville Regional Hospital and most recently Achieve Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was the Past President of the Scoresby Hose Hook & Ladder Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.

 

Cynthia is survived by her daughter Pauline Swindell of Ellenville and her son Robert Stickles and his wife Jennifer of Monticello; her grandchildren, Randy Rodriguez, Tyesha Swindell, Matthew Stickles, Portia Bedgood, Matthew and Sarah Pallay, Ayden and Katrina Stickles and her great granddaughter Aubrey Stickles.

 

Cynthia was predeceased by her son-in-law Rudy Swindell.

 

Visiting will be held on Thursday, May 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville. A celebration of her life is scheduled for Friday at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery.
