Cort Lee Stinehour, of Napanoch, NY, passed away unexpectedly on September 30, 2024 at the age of 55. Cort was born in Ellenville, NY on October 7, 1968; the son of the late Robert F. and Barbara (Benjamin) Stinehour.

Cort was a lifelong member of the community, graduating from Ellenville High School in 1987. He dedicated his professional life to working as an Operating Engineer with Tilcon, where he was a respected member of Local 825. Outside of his career, Cort Was a dedicated teacher, preacher and practitioner of the Moo Duk Kwan. He was an inspirational leader in our community, dedicating overs 30 years to inspiring others to be their best selves not only through his studio, The Ellenville Moo Duk Kwan Academy, but wherever life took him (regionally, nationally and internationally). Cort's zest for life was evident in his love for spending time with family, riding motorcycles, and traveling. However, it was the meaningful relationships and friendships he cultivated throughout his life that brought him the greatest joy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Kate (Browne) Stinehour; his children, Brandon Stinehour (Jo), Christian Stinehour, and Woodrow T. Jones (Alyson); his siblings, Cindy Stanger, Cathy Marl (Bob), Robert Daniel Garlinghouse, Robert Stinehour (Betty), Fred Hart, Erik Ryan, and James Cromwell. Additionally, he is survived by his loving nieces and nephews and his brothers and sisters-in-law Susan Kusterbeck, Betty Obenshine, Judy Holowczwk (Paul), Edward P. Browne (Sandy), Lisa Marl, and John Stanger, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Nathan and Charlotte Jones, and, of course, his Moo Duk Kwan family.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Jeffrey Marl and Richard A. Marl.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM followed by a time of sharing beginning at 3:00 pm at Loucks Funeral Home in Ellenville, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the United States Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Foundation (www.soobahkdofoundation.org), an organization that reflects Cort's dedication to The Moo Duk Kwan (martial arts) and community.
