Carolyn Wilklow Kuhlmann

March 22, 1932 - November 8, 2015

Carolyn Wilklow Kuhlmann, a lifetime resident of the Ellenville area, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Hospital. She was 83.

She was the daughter of the late Lloyd V. and Alberta Clark Wilklow, born on March 22, 1932 in Ellenville, NY.

Carolyn was a proud graduate of Ellenville High School class of 1950. She also went on to earn her Bachelor of Science Degree from Cornell University and her Master's Degree from SUNY New Paltz. Carolyn was also a very active member of her community, she was President of the Ellenville Central School Board; a member of: The Shawangunk Garden Club, Ellenville Regional Hospital Auxiliary, The SUNY New Paltz College Council, Phi Delta Kappa and Delta Kappa Gamma educational sororities,and the Ellenville Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter: Pamela Kuhlmann; her nieces: Teresa Spence and Mary Edwards; her nephew John Kuhlmann; several grand nieces and nephews; as well as her devoted friends William and Heather Brown. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, Robert H. Kuhlmann. Carolyn touched many lives and will be missed by all who loved her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 11th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville, NY 12428. Funeral services will be held at Ellenville Methodist Church, 85 Canal St, Ellenville, NY on Thursday, November 12th at 10am. Rev. Larry Powell will officiate. Interment will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery.
