Carol E. Medenbach

Carol E. Medenbach of Ellenville, NY, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014, at the Ellenville Regional Hospital. She was 84 years old. Carol was born on October 23, 1929 in Wilmington, DE; she was the daughter of John and Emily (Holzhauer) Spaven and the widow of Charles W. Medenbach.

Carol was a supervisor for Criterion Candies in Ft. Monmouth, NJ.

She is survived by her son; Barry Medenbach and his wife, Deborah of Kerhonkson; daughter, Debra Cherney and her husband, William of Acworth, GA; daughter, Donna Medenbach of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Robert Thomson and his wife, Christina of Marietta, GA, William, Brad, and Blake Cherney of Acworth, GA, Sarah Perrotta and her husband, Jason of Olivebridge, Matthew Medenbach and his fiancé of Connelly, and Jessica Medenbach of Brooklyn, NY; her sister; Emily Humphries, as well as two great-grandchildren.

Carol was predeceased by her brothers; William, Harry and George Spaven.

Visitation will be held on Saturday January 18th from 4 to 6pm with a celebration of her life immediately following at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville. The Rev. Paul Z. Ruter will officiate.
