Carl James Hoar Sr. of Woodridge, NY, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016 at the Catskill Regional Hospital. He was 66 years old. Carl was born on April 12, 1950 in Ellenville, NY; he was the son of the late Royal and Margaret Mae (MacEntee) Hoar.
Carl graduated from Rondout Valley High School where he competed on the wrestling team. He was a former volunteer fireman and was a member of the drum and bugle corp in the Ellenville District. Carl was a hard working man. He was a carpenter, electrician, taxi driver and most recently a deliveryman for Cohen's Bakery. Carl also loved to cook. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Carl is survived by his children, Traci Ream of Maryland, Aimee Kelley of Pennsylvania and Carl Hoar Jr. and his wife Yvette of North Carolina; his brother, Todd Hoar of Ellenville; his sister, RuthAnn McDole of Virginia; his grandchildren, Ian Wiest, Maya Myrdahl, Mason and Maddox Umphred, Brienna Hoar and Chris Yackel.
Carl was predeceased by his sisters Iris Hoar Slater and Margaret Hoar Cherry.
Visiting will be held on Thursday, November 3rd from 10am to 12pm at Loucks Funeral Home, Ellenville
