Beatrice E. Budd

Beatrice E. Budd, of Napanoch, passed away on Friday, January 06, 2017. She was 82.

She was the daughter of the late Harry Legg and Beulah Wright, born on November 8, 1934 in Ellenville, NY.

Beatrice worked as a bus driver for Ellenville School District. She enjoyed visiting Nubble Lighthouse in Maine, camping, crocheting and knitting and playing games like pinochle. She loved gathering at McDonalds with her McElders. Beatrice was a member of the Shongum Shockers for almost 50 years, a member of the FCRV for over 40 years and belonged to the H & H Budd Construction Bowling Team.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children: Karen Budd and her husband Robert Smith of Tennessee, Debbie Smith of Georgia, Barbara Hull and her husband August "Skip" of Napanoch and Laurie Thompson and her husband Bob of Napanoch; her 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; her brother George Legg and his wife Pat of Accord; and lifelong friends Sandy and Jack Balogh and Shirley Dewire. Beatrice now joins in Heaven her devoted husband Carl A. Budd.

Because of her love for animals, memorial contributions in Beatrice's name can be made to the Sullivan County ASPCA, 104 Rock Hill Dr., Rock Hill, NY 12775, or to your local ASPCA.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 12 to 2pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St. Ellenville, NY 12428. A funeral service to follow at the funeral home at 2pm. Pastor Mike Sparrow will officiate. Interment to follow at Fantinekill Cemetery, Ellenville, NY.
