Barbara M. Schwab

Barbara M. Schwab of Ellenville, NY passed away on October 13, 2024. She was 79 years old. Barbara was born on December 10, 1944 in Ellenville; she was the daughter of Vernon Stedner Schwab and Myrtle (Donnelly) Schwab.

Throughout her professional life, Barbara dedicated many years of service as a switchboard operator. Her career included valuable contributions at Channel Master and most recently in the billing department at Ellenville Regional Hospital. 

Outside of her professional life, Barbara enjoyed bowling, playing Bingo and computer games as well as participating in road rallies.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her siblings, Pat Joray, Nikki Traphagen, and Vernon "Jake" Schwab, along with her two nephews, John Joray and John Schwab.

She is survived by her brother Peter Schwab (Theresa), along with his children, Peter and Katrina; her sister Mary Schwab and her children, Matthew and Jade; and her sister Terrie Farkas (Pete) and her daughter, Nellie. Additionally, she leaves behind the children of Pat: Joann, Joe, and Jeffrey, the children of Nikki: Jasmine, Autumn and Tom and Jake's son, Jason.

In honoring her wishes, cremation will be held privately.
